ABOUT We created a personalized 3D anamorphic illusion giving the impression that certain parts of the animation prominently extend beyond the screen. At BMW Welt in Munich, visitors have the opportunity to capture their faces at a designated photo spot. Within seconds, artificial intelligence seamlessly integrates their photos into the film. This captivating technology relies on a sophisticated media system that dynamically combines the different image components in real-time.
Since its magnificent debut in January 2023, this unique experience has been captivating visitors throughout each day of the week until the conclusion of September. The audience’s response has been phenomenal, with more than 180 MegaMe creations on a daily basis since its public unveiling.

HOW IT’S DONE Our partner, Reface, has specifically enhanced its technology for this purpose, enabling operations on a large scale and developing an upscaler for face swap technology that delivers superior video quality, ideal for display on a 42-square-meter screen.
Using a multi-video processing approach, it is possible to simultaneously handle 5 video clips and then seamlessly replacing the original face with the user's own. By transforming faces into anonymized vectors through advanced layers, the technology merges the user’s face with the default one in every scene of the videos.
Then our sophisticated real-time media system we developed, combines the face-swapped video segments with the remaining footage, resulting in a personalized 3D illusion that is remarkably realistic through the intelligent use of multiple layers.
